This is a corner of my office, and what clients see behind me when we’re in a virtual coaching session. I was very deliberate when choosing what I wanted this space to look like, and how I wanted clients to feel and know about me when we virtually met, and while we speak. For this reason, there are photos I took of people from around the world (because I believe fiercely in diversity and inclusion), a photo of a woman’s pregnant belly across which is scrawled, “SHE DESERVES BETTER” (because I’m an unrepentant feminist), and tropical furniture and Afro-centric pillows (because I’m a proud Afro-Trinidadian and West Indian). And of course, there are string lights, because I’m all about the #makelight.

I think it’s really important that our workspaces (and our personal spaces, for that matter) represent what is important to us, and what we stand for. What about you -do you think about your workspace, and how it fuels your creativity and productivity? How does your space reflect you? ✨✨✨

It’s Friday, it’s a beautiful day, and I’m single until tomorrow. So I decided to take myself to a local wine bar that just opened up before everyone gets out of work to check it out. I’ve got a great glass of wine, a delicious cheese plate and a good book. Oh, and @etiennejazz just came over the sound system, providing sounds from my Trinidadian homeland. Sorted.
