bonus shot: full

I'm back in Houston after my whirlwind trip to Atlanta (by the way -- my flight to Atlanta was horribly delayed, but then when we finally left, they upgraded me to first class.  Hard to complain about flying under those circumstances).  It was such a great trip, so I wanted to take a moment to thank:

- The incredible ladies who put on an amazingly professional, organized and stunningly well-run conference in BlogaliciousThese three women are a force to be reckoned with, and Stacy, Ny & Nadia, you should be very proud.  The conference was geared toward "women of colour," and so wonderfully, women of every colour were represented there, in an atmosphere of full and unbridled inclusion.  Well done, and thank you.

-  My roommate, Heather B.  Heather was such a breath of fresh air, and good-naturedly put up with my stories, silliness and generally teasing her until the wee hours of the morning.  It's because of her that I felt very much at home at the conference, and I owe her one.

-  All of you wonderful women who attended the conference and took the time to come up and introduce yourselves to me, and share some of your incredible stories. You've given me renewed inspiration in the writing of my book.  Your different is so incredibly beautiful.

-  And finally, all of you who left a comment on my previous post.  You have no idea how much your sharing your thoughts and glimpses into your day helped my interminable wait at the airport on Friday seem to fly by, and it was so great to find out so much about you! I'll address some of your questions and comments in my post on Monday.

And with that, I'm going to go snuggle with my Marcus and my Alex now.  Thanks again, all of you.  You make me feel very lucky.
