« special day »

As it happens, yesterday was not only Thanksgiving, but it was also my mother-in-law Diana's birthday.  So naturally, instead of making something traditional for dessert like pecan, or pumpkin, or apple pie, I made chocolate chocolate chip birthday cake.

With candles.  And sprinkles.  Lots and lots of sprinkles.

Naturally.

Happy birthday, Diana! May the year ahead be a beautiful one (and I see it's off to a good start, with a birthday-cake like that :) )
