It took a long time for me to become a U.S. citizen: I was actually the last person in my family to do so, by several years. In fact, by the time I finally got around to it, I was already a licensed attorney in the United States.
Since that time, however, I try my damnedest to make it to the voting booths for every election where, at the very minimum, the mayorial race is contested. I figure now that I have a stake their outcomes, it's the least I can do.
This photograph was taken as part of #NaPhoPoMo (National Photo Posting Month) -- a shot a day for the month of November. You should join me: it's a lesson in stopping and looking, improving your photography skills, and appreciating the beauty and light around you.
