Heading back home today, all sunkissed, restored by saltwater. Sad to leave the Caribbean Sea (my home!), ready to return to make light. ✨

Today I kissed a stingray on the nose - our boat captain told us kissing one brings you 7 years of good luck.

So I made Marcus kiss one, too. (He said he Frenched it, for good measure.) So if we don’t get into our house by October, I have no choice but assume we got a broken stingray. 🌞🌊

How you know I’m a mom: every time a white person passes, I mumble, “YOU need to reapply sunscreen ... and YOU need to reapply sunscreen ... and YOU ... “ 🌞

This morning I woke up on my 51st birthday in Houston.

By late afternoon, I was swimming in the Caribbean Sea with the two people I love the most.

Next up: sunset cocktails and dinner.

Taking a moment of gratitude for my life. Moments like this remind me that no matter what happens, I have a good one.

And now, for my birthday wish: may all of you - wherever you are - have a peaceful moment of deep gratitude for the love and goodness in your lives, too. Thank you for all your good energy: I’m sending it back to you, hundredfold. ❤️✨❤️✨❤️✨
