Just returned home from photographing my dear friend, make-up artist @tonya.riner, and interviewing her on her style philosophy. Her home is incredible, and to give you a glimpse of how fascinating she is, this is a portion of her inspiration wall, in her home office. I can't wait to share her with you. 😊💕
Busy day today: photo shoot with an old friend (with whom I've recently gotten in touch after over a decade!), put together a proposal for a potential speaking gig, and create a straw man for a brand new podcast (!!!). But first, a cafe for a cappuccino and a little to-do-list action. Wishing you a peaceful Tuesday, friends.
There are definitely trends in online photography- have you noticed that? Instagram feeds with sharp, clean, bright, minimalist images, often low-contrast, vaguely blown-out processing are 🔥 right now. While I admit the images are beautiful (I follow many feeds with those types of images), I can't do it. I'm a dark, gritty, lots-of-texture-with-a-pop-of-colour type girl. I can't help myself, man. It's what I'm drawn to. But still, as I say, I continue to follow those feeds for inspiration. Because balancing Stretching Yourself With Knowing Yourself is what it's all about.
