Erma Bombeck Writers' Workshop, April 15-17, 2010, University of Dayton, Ohio

I am positively thrilled to announce that I will be a faculty member at the biannual Erma Bombeck Writers' Workshop at the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio.  The workshop is designed for humour and human interest writers. If you're such a writer, and you're looking to get published, I hope you'll join me, along with the amazing faculty members who will be presenting.  Registration opens December 1st, 2009, and if history is any teacher, it will sell out quickly, so mark your calendars.

mom 2.0 summit 2010

I had such a great time at the Mom 2.0 Summit, February 18 - 20, 2010 at The Four Seasons Hotel in Houston, Texas.  In addition to speaking on a panel with the fabulous Rob Morhaim of Deca.TV, Rebecca Woolf and Leah Peterson, I was able to photograph some of the most beautiful faces online.  Thanks for such a great time!

alt summit 2010

I was so honoured to speak at the Altitude Design Summit, January 21-23, 2010, at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Justin Hackworth, Amber Roussel and I talked about using photography to enhance your site design, and it was such a great time.  Thanks to all who came!

600 sq. mi.: hidden photography photo exhibit, october 9 -31, 2009

 

Two of my images (previously published here on Chookooloonks), "Unfocused" and "Heart," were on exhibit and available for sale at  600 Sq. Mi.: Hidden Photography Exhibit, October 9 - 31, 2009, a juried exhibition of photographs at Xnihilo Gallery, Houston, Texas,  showing the hidden side of Houston.   The opening reception was on October 9, from 7-10 p.m.  It was such an honour to be a part of this amazing exhibit.

blogalicious, october 9-11, 2009

I was thrilled to be the keynote speaker at the Blogalicious 2009 conference, held at the W-Atlanta Hotel.  This very special conference was created to provide women bloggers of all colours, creeds, nationalities and backgrounds the opportunity to celebrate their diversity, social media, and of course, their love for blogging.

I spoke "The Beauty of Different," and it was an absolute blast.  Thanks to the amazing organizers for a spectacular time.
