breaking news: the beauty of different is available for preorder!
I began writing The Beauty of Different almost exactly one year ago. It's been a year of interviews, photo shoots, late-night writing sessions, reading, re-reading, editing and re-editing paragraphs and images. There have been moments where inspiration came easy, and other times when I've struggled to find the right words. But now, after all this time, I am thrilled -- THRILLED, I tell you! -- to announce:
The Beauty of Different is now available for pre-order.

I'm really just beyond excited about this. I'm also slightly stunned: though I've been working diligently toward this goal for a while, actually seeing the book on my publisher's site makes it feel like it's actually going to happen. I can't imagine what my emotions are going to be when I finally have the finished product in my hot little hands. I'm not sure, but I suspect spontaneous combustion isn't entirely out of the question.
So, away we go! Of course, anything you can do to spread the word would be greatly appreciated (including, but not limited to sharing the trailer below).

I found your site just hopping around online. I have to admit, the video you have posted achieves a lot in sparking interest in your book. I completely agree with what you've been saying, though I haven't been aware of it myself until you mentioned it. Differences are beautiful, and at a time when people are trying to look like each other, I think people have the right to look and feel beautiful in anyway they can.
