When I take portraits, there's nothing that excites me more than when I've managed to capture a person's light. Seeing the light of a friend or loved one is relatively easy, but capturing anyone's light on camera can sometimes be a challenge -- most especially when photographing a casual acquaintance or stranger.
Nonetheless, the light is always there, in each and every one of us. And it's always breathtakingly beautiful.
These photographs below are some of my favourite portraits I've ever taken -- of both friends and strangers -- where I managed to capture the subject's light in a way I believe is readily apparent. Hopefully, as you scroll through them, you'll see it, too. I share these with you as an ongoing body of evidence showing that everyone -- every single one of us -- is uncommonly beautiful.
