Working with Karen is a professional and personal delight. I first got to know her when I was a Senior Director at the ONE Campaign and she joined us on an educational and story-telling trip to Kenya. We were there to see the progress being made to alleviate extreme poverty and preventable disease by US-funded programs. Her photographs and words were so compelling and persuasive - she helped bring real attention to and create strong advocates for our programs. We later engaged Karen— over and over again — in her professional capacity as photographer and storyteller. In addition, we relied on her counsel in message development to various audiences and on her wisdom, humor, and good will, in general. Our entire team learned from her and loved working with her. Ask her, sometime, about crocodiles...
