« love thursday: simple gifts »

 

When I returned home from Atlanta last Saturday, these lovely lilies were waiting for me: Marcus and Alex bought them for me while I was away.  I was so thrilled, particularly because these are my favourite blossoms to photograph -- there's just so much going on in them, you know?

Flowers are such a sweet gift, I think, because they are all about the Right Now. They say, "I am thinking about you Right Now!" "Enjoy me Right Now!" "You are worth a decadent gift Right Now because you are a part of the awesomeness in our life!" "You are pretty and beautiful and all I want to see Right Now!" "Stop and enjoy the beauty in front of you Right Now!" I love flowers. Enjoy them!
