How do you talk to your kids about molestation? -- I had a long talk with Alex this morning, because of this video.

Are you a bargain shopper? -- I'm not. But I hate shopping, so it's rare that I shop anyway.

Are you okay with pulling your kids out of school? -- For us, it's a case-by-case kinda thing.

« random thoughts:  return »

Photographed with Nikon D300, 60mm lens.

I'm spending time trying to settle into my normal routine, while simultaneously gearing up for my trip to Chicago next week.  It's a feeling not unlike trying to do yoga in a Zen-like setting while concurrently receiving a caffeine IV drip.

Still, it's lovely to be back.  It's nice to sit in my office again, Rufus asleep behind my chair, home brewed tea next to me, and soft music while I work.

And I'm making lists.  Lots and lots of lists.

SongFirst train home by Imogen Heap.  I'm loving this song, the first single off of her not-yet-released album.

Beautiful photo! One of the great things about travel is that it helps us really see and appreciate our everyday.
But I love Chicago! and I am looking forward to a NYC trip (my first) coming up in a few weeks! And you get both cities in one month! Wooohooo!
I love your blog - thanks!

I'll be in that place soon - lots of travel coming up at summer's end. The trick is to just enjoy each place while you're in it, I guess. Oh, and make lots of lists.

Love lists.
Love your random thoughts lists.
Love caffeine...and yoga.
Love.

You're going to be in Chicago! I'd really love to meet you, if you have time while at the conference.

There is a science to being calm and quiet while in the midst of the hurricane, and on top of it all you still have lists to make!
