« after the storm »
Yesterday morning, the skies opened up, and it poured. But after it stopped, it left cooler temperatures and lots of lovely raindrops all around my neighbourhood.

These images sort of remind me of that little pang of euphoria you get when you realize, after having just been through a tough time, that things are about to get a whole lot better.
Because, of course, they always do.

beautiful photos. and i just love the way you describe that feeling.
That's exactly where I am right now. :)
Looking forward to getting to that place.
Karen, that second one is my favorite. There's just something about that color. What you said at the end, however,, really struck me this morning. Some days it feels as if the storm is lasting too long and then I slowly understand that it's been over for a while and that I'm mired in the being wet and getting rained on but not really seeing how beautiful and clean and clear it made everything.
Thank you for the reminder.

those photos are beautiful
and thank you for the reminder that things get better - i need that today.
I needed this. It's been raining here since yesterday too and yesterday was a crummy day in general. Here's hoping our sun comes out soon and we have a better day today.
Oh. So cool. So beautiful. That unique "lens" of yours. And the beautiful connections your draw between the small things and the larger things of life. And, yes, what you write here, so very, very true. Thank you.
Oops! Typo! Should read: "And the beautiful connections YOU draw....
Halle-friggin'-lujah that they do!
Gorgeous! It reminds me so much of the song, "Lullaby for a Stormy Night," by Vienna Teng.
(forgive me for reproducing some of the lyrics)
the same rain that draws you near me
falls on rivers and land
on forest and sand
makes the beautiful world that you see
in the morning
everything's fine in the morning...
