I wanted to get a more comfortable outdoor sofa for our patio, but was concerned about the perfectly good bench that we had there.
“I can use the bench,” said Marcus. “I’ve been wanting a seating area under the trees at the bottom of the garden. I’ll even build a patio area.”
And he did — he used some leftover bricks we had from building the house, and put together a small patio. It’s not finished yet — he still needs to add more sand between the bricks — but it’s certainly usable, and quite pretty.
But it needed string lights.
So I bought some solar powered ones on Amazon, and today we hung them.
I can’t wait to see it when it’s lit up in the evenings. I think it’ll be a perfect place to have a glass of wine al fresco.
(I mean, as soon as we figure out how to withstand the hordes of mosquitos.)
