this was a good week
This was a good week! Here’s why:
• My tomatoes are coming in, I’m headed to Indianapolis today to do a talk (I’ve never been!) and even though we had tropical weather in Houston that caused some street flooding, our street managed to stay high and dry. Hallelujah.
• Speaking of food, this person turned food into functioning cameras. If this doesn’t prove it’s not the camera, it’s the photographer, I don’t know what will.
• These vases are beautiful, but it’s what's between them that gives them their wow factor.
• My friend, travel writer Pam Mandel, wrote this important piece on whitewashing in travel.
• I love this article about why babies laugh.
• And finally, for today’s soundtrack: Do not disturb, by Mahalia. I admit that I was attracted to this video purely because her name is “Mahalia,” and that’s a pretty big name to live up to. I was happily pleased with her lovely sound.
