This evening, Alex and I were hanging out outside of our house, when our next door neighbour, Brad, came outside and joined us. Brad is a freshman in high school, and he's really great with Alex.

Brad noticed my camera and asked if he could take a shot -- which he did, the image above. And even though my hair's all crazy and I'm wearing not a stitch of makeup, the truth is it's probably one of my favourite images ever taken of Alex and me. I think I love it because it was taken on a beautiful Texas September evening, I was feeling relaxed and having fun with my girl, and the shot feels authentic and real.
