a room with a view

Yesterday I flew up to New York City (again!) for a quick speaking gig -- I fly back to Houston tonight.  Even though I seem to be coming to New York far more often than I ever have before, I really don't know the city, so I didn't know what to expect when I arrived at the hotel in Soho where my client had booked me for the night.

The James Hotel is a very lovely boutique hotel, and my room, though tiny, had amazing views -- two full walls of windows:

I wish Marcus was with me to see it.  Next time.

(Also:  reason #23 why I love this hotel? An in-room kettle instead of a coffeemaker. SCORE.)
