Meet my friends Christine Koh and Asha Dorfest.  I've known Christine and Asha for several years now -- for a long time they've been "work colleagues" through the blogging realm:  Christine is the awesomeness behind Boston Mamas, and Asha is the creative genius behind Parenthacks (we also used to appear together on Momversation.com -- remember that site?).  More recently, however, we've come to know each other better, and after traveling with these two truly smart, kind, powerhouse women to Ethiopia last year, I officially consider them both fast friends.

Christine and Asha have also co-authored a parenting book that is now available for preorder, Minimalist Parenting -- a guidebook that challenges the myth head-on that good parenting requires you to do more; rather, good parenting is about tapping into your own intuition (and you can imagine how this appeals to my beauty-of-different brain).  Soon after we returned from Ethiopia, they approached me with the idea of helping them put together their book trailer, and I didn't even hesitate:  I so believe in their work, I immediately said yes.

And so, together with beautiful images from Jen Bolitho, Stephanie Brubaker, Leslie Fandrich, Sarah Hubbell, Christine, Jim Lin, Rachel Matthews, Irène Nam, Stephanie Precourt and Maile Wilson (and a few of my own thrown in for good measure), we put together the following trailer.  And it makes me happy, if I do say so myself:

Congratulations, Christine and Asha, on your brand new, I-predict-soon-to-be-bestseller!  It was an honour to work with you both on this, and I'm so grateful to you for the opportunity.

Speaking of grateful, I'm also thrilled to announce that I've been invited to be a regular contributor on StyleUnited -- but I won't be writing about style (because honestly, I'm not that fashionable).  Instead, I'll be covering topics that are more on the beauty-of-different tip:  things like curating a more joyful life, and realizing the superhero inside all of us.   My first post, on gratitude, is up, and I'd love if you'd go take a look

And with that, happy Wednesday, friends!
