#tbt: summer days with cousin play

When I was looking for photographs to share for today's Throwback Thursday, I discovered that 4 years ago this week, my sister and her family were in town, spending time at my parents' place.  This isn't that unusual:  whenever they're in town, Alex goes to my parents' place as well, so that she can get some concentrated pool time with her cousins.  But what is unusual and coincidentally, as it happens and while I'm typing this, Alex is there right now, and I imagine that this is pretty much exactly what they're doing this very minute:

Man, there really is nothing like summer holidays with your cousins.

Edited to add:  And as I was uploading the photos above, out of the blue, with no prompting from me,I got an email from my dad, confirming that I was right:

Appears they've grown up a bit in the last 4 years.

Happy summer, friends.  Hoping you're squeezing every juicy, water-logged, chlorine-scented bit out of it.

Soundtrack:  Get lucky, by Daft Punk featuring Pharrell Williams.  This was, apparently, the song of summer 2013.
