this was a good week (15/100)
This was a good week! Here’s why:
• I’ve officially begun my August devoted almost exclusively to writing. I can’t tell you how much joy this brings me. I even moved to my favourite room in my house to write. It’s been really blissful.
• Charming Allie Weber created a cool video for how to wear a mask at school (including hacks to ensure they fit well). Honestly, it’s intended for kids, but I learned a lot, and I consider myself a seasoned and enthusiastic mask-wearer.
• I totally thought this mural was 3-dimensional. Amazing.
• “He got a taste of victory. And it fueled him with righteous purpose.” I missed Barack Obama’s eulogy of civil rights icon John Lewis the first time around.
• And finally, for today’s soundtrack: I stumbled on this mindblowing cover of Overjoyed by artist Victory Boyd, and it’s been on constant repeat today. Click here or the image below to listen. Just glorious.
