this was a good week

This was a good week! Here’s why:

• I was able to vote in my state’s primary election (if you’re in Texas, don’t forget to vote; if you’re in any other US state, be sure to vote in your own primary!), and after some balmy weather, as I write this, the temperature has dropped and it’s rainy outside. I love working on cold, rainy days.

A box of photos of this woman and a ton of Hollywood celebrities was found in a thrift shop. I love every single shot.

This painting ages as you change perspective. It’s so cool, and vaguely unsettling.

• I’d never heard of sea angels — have you? They are astonishingly mesmerizing.

• These folks who have contracted coronavirus are quarantined in a makeshift hospital, but are exhibiting mild symptoms. So to keep their spirits up, the hospital staff invites them to dance.

This ex-Soviet-factory-turned-artist-community-hostel looks amazing.

• And finally, for today’s soundtrack, the beautiful vocal stylings of Mexican songstress Natalia Lafourcade. Click here or the image below to watch and listen. Just dreamy.

Watch Natalia Lafourcade play at the Tiny Desk. Did you know you can watch new Tiny Desk Concerts on npr.org ONE WEEK before they go up on YouTube? Click here: https://www.npr.org/tinydesk Follow NPR Music: Twitter: https://twitter.com/nprmusic Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nprmusic Oct.

Have a great weekend, lovelies.
