How do you talk to your kids about molestation? -- I had a long talk with Alex this morning, because of this video.

Are you a bargain shopper? -- I'm not. But I hate shopping, so it's rare that I shop anyway.

Are you okay with pulling your kids out of school? -- For us, it's a case-by-case kinda thing.

« love thursday: parenthood »

My friend Kandy and her son, Sam.

"It's not only children who grow.  Parents do, too.  As much as we watch to see what our children do with their lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.  I can't tell my children to reach for the sun.  All I can do is reach for it myself."

~  Joyce Maynard

Happy Love Thursday, everyone.  Please leave your stories or links to your words or images of love in the comments below.

And here's to reaching for the sun today.

What a perfect quote...and one I need to remind myself of daily. And - little children do grow too.

I don't have children yet, but I do love that quote and will pocket it for the day when I do have some little ones of my own.

As luck would have it, I wrote about my mom today and the impression she's made on my mothering styles...and how much it sucks that I'm losing her.

It might seem like a bit of a downer, but love is recognizing things are the way they are and holding tighter because of it. Right? I'm still happy today is Love Thursday and I'm so happy to highlight my mom and her stories every chance I get.

Happy Love Thursday!

I like to apply this idea to adults too. Some one is always watching. I hope that who ever is watching me sees a good person. Happy Love Thursday!

And here's mine
