more on the water project

From our front garden. Photographed with Nikon D300, 60mm micro lens.

I mentioned before that I was working on a new photography project, based on water.  Over the last few days, I finally took a moment and culled through my archives, pulling together some of my favourite water images over the past year.  I've added them to a new gallery on my projects page, and named the collection, most imaginatively, "The Water Project."  You can click and scroll through them here.

I'm really excited about this project, primarily fueled by the hope that perhaps I'll be able to do something with it to help a clean water charity.  I've still got a ton more photographs I need to take to complete this project, and I've already got several ideas of how I'd like to shoot them.  And then, fingers crossed, to find an exhibition space ...

I love the start of a new project.  I love all the wonderful ... possibilities.

Song: I Can't Stand the Rain.  I was looking for an older version of this song, but then came across this recent version by Missy Elliott.  Lord, I love me some Missy.  Go ahead and listen to it here, but be warned: if you're at work, the beat may force you to do the Tootsie Roll at your desk.

And to hear the original, very soulful version by Ann Peebles, click here.
