beauty

Photographed with Nikon D300.  I honestly can't remember which lens I used here.

I'm working feverishly on the book these days, trying to get a few more pages done before the weekend.  As you can probably imagine, while writing a book called "The Beauty of Different," I'm having a really incredible time thinking and exploring and expressing of all the different ways beauty can manifest itself.

So today, with your indulgence, I thought I'd try an experiment:

Close your eyes for a second, and think of the most beautiful person you know.  It can be someone you've met only briefly, or someone you've known all your life.  It can be a close friend, a casual acquaintance, or maybe even someone you just saw in an elevator once, who you never saw again.  Just think about the word "beautiful," and let your mind fill with the image of whoever you instinctively think of.

Once you've thought of him or her, then I'd love if you'd share with me in the comments: what is it that makes that person so beautiful?
