this was a good week
This was a stellar week! Here's why:
• I had an amazing time at the CLICK|AWAY Conference, and then came home to sushi with the family (but not before taking a photograph of a young oak tree growing in our garden). Thanks to all of you who stopped to say hello to me at the conference, by the way. Your warmth truly made it one of the most enjoyable conferences I've attended this year!
• Japan's first woman photojournalist is still shooting at the age of 101. I think I've just figured out who I want to be when I grow up.
• Francine, a Holocaust-survivor, tells this amazingly sweet story. I'll never look at chocolate the same way again.
• Why have a Ringbearer when you can have a Ring Security Agent?
• Whales decided to swim along with a paddleboarder in Australia. Just. so. beautiful.
• Finally, for today's song of the day: this video of Misty Copeland dancing to Yo-Yo Ma's cello performance. Talk about poetry in motion.
