Scene: Sunday morning.

Alex: “God, Mom, could you not? Please don’t take a picture of me. Please.”

Me: “Okay.”

Alex relaxes. I keep shooting.

Alex: “MOM!”

Me: “What?!”

Alex (sighing): “Let me see it.”

I show her the back of the camera.

Alex: “Oh, actually, I look cute there! Could you send me a copy?”

And scene.
