« view 12 - love thursday: colours and auras »

Beautiful People *

I have a friend who reads people's auras.  He sees all sorts of colors like green & red & purple.  He says anyone can do it.  All it takes is forgetting everything you think you know & just looking.  I've tried it & even though I haven't seen any colors yet, everyone I meet looks so beautiful when I stop knowing everything, that it's pretty hard to go back to the old way.

* StoryPeople is a site my friend Tracey turned me on to, where you can sign up to have a "story of the day" sent directly to you via email.  The above passage was yesterday's story.

Happy Love Thursday, everyone.  Please feel free to leave your stories or your links to images or words of love in the comments section, below.

And here's to looking for everyone's auras today.

December viewsIncidently and related, BlogHer.com asked if they could republish my piece I wrote for view 06, "How I process my images," on their site.  Since I'm a Contributing Editor for BlogHer (and they offered to pay me to republish it), I happily agreed.  You can see it here.

Song: Her morning elegance by Oren Lavie.  Words can't describe how much I love this song.

I sometimes bitch and moan about things like teacher gifts, and it is primarily because I’m pretty good at bitching and moaning and not, in fact, because I hate teacher gifts. I actually sort of love doing teacher gifts. I like wrapping up multip...

Hi! I have never commented on your blog before, but after reading about the photo drive yesterday and this post today, I feel compelled. My love comment goes to you. I hope you realise you are the one spreading all this warm fuzzy feeling around the world. I'm trying to do the same in my corner of the world because recently I've come to terms with the fact that all the love and all the spreading comes from oneself and you just need to start doing in to start seeing it happen. So thanks to you. All my love.

Interesting story about the auras. My sister can do that. She sees everything - people, music, words, ideas, feelings - as a color or mix of colors instead of as images in her head. It's fascinating. :)

Happy Love Thursday!

We learned about reading auras in Yoga Teacher training. It's a beautiful idea, but I just couldn't buy into it. Just when I'd think I was seeing something, my science Cindy would poke out and say "that's just the reflection of light, blah, blah, blah". I'm impressed by those who can see them. They say children are really good at this.

I read your blog very frequently and I just have to tell you that I am inspired by the way you write and the way project yourself and the way you live... I appreciate all the love you spread. I just had to comment, as I don't do that often on a blog of someone I do not know. Thank you for the stories. Happy Holidays!
