this was a good week

There was good in this week.  Here's where:

•  Our anniversary, bright-coloured lilies, and Tropical Storm Cindy missing us here in Houston, for the most part (although I know some communities weren't so lucky.  For those of you in her path, I hope you're safe, and any losses were minimal).

•  The seniors of Flint Northwestern High School didn't let their 3-year water crisis dampen their celebratory spirits -- they had a prom anyway.  So. Much. Happy.

•  Ten buildings that move.  Trippy.

•  These gorgeous 3-dimensional paper sculpture are mindblowing.

•  And speaking of paper art, these cut paper works are incredible.

•  Love these thoughts on what makes people beautiful.

•  And before Tinder, there was the pneumatic tube.

•  And finally, for today's soundtrack, DJ Earworm's mashup of 9 recent pop songs into something entirely new -- because these days, I need the reminder that when we practice our own individual beautiful differents, the resulting tapestry can be extraordinary.

On that note, have a great weekend, friends.  See you next week.
